The German customization firm not only presented a matte black film for the Q7 SUV but it also took a step further by introducing a new matte black carbon-fiber wrap that’s available for the AS4, AS7 and R8 ABT vehicles as well as for the standard factory Audi A4, Q7 and R8 models. In both cases the film covers the bodywork from top to bottom.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the range topping TTS models have been set at $45,500 for the TTS Coupe and $47,500 for the TTS Roadster. To refresh your memory, the TTS features a 265HP 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that allows the Coupe variant to sprint from 0 to 60mph (96km/h) in 4.9 seconds and the open-top Roadster in 5.1 seconds with both versions achieving 29 mpg in highway driving and 21 mpg in city driving based on government fuel-economy ratings. The U.S. market TTS models come equipped with the S-Tronic dual clutch gearbox as standard.

Audi is expanding its A5 Coupe line-up in the U.K. with the introduction of a new 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine option. The A5 2.0 TDI is available to order now in front-wheel-drive and quattro four-wheel-drive configurations priced from £28,485 and £30,010 OTR respectively with first customer deliveries due in March 2009. The 2.0 TDI diesel engine produces 170HP and 350Nm of torque available from 1,750rpm.

But not in China where consumers seem to be advocates of the saying “the bigger the better”. After the introduction of LWB mid-size luxury saloons such as the Audi A6 and BMW 5-Series, Audi has extended its offerings with the presentation of the first ever LWB compact sedan, the A4L that boasts a 60 millimeters (2.36 inches) longer wheelbase than the standard model.

The German tuner has announced that it will unveil the production version of last year’s wild R8 RAZOR concept at the upcoming Essen Motorshow (29 November to 7 December). Audi will publish the first official images and details off the new A5 Cabriolet and its S5 sibling by the end of the week, according to Carscoop sources. Unlike the BMW 3-Series Convertible, Infiniti G37 Convertible and the Lexus IS 250C, Audi continues to resist the trend toward retractable hard tops preferring to equip the A5 and S5 Cabriolets with a more traditional and less complicated/heavy, electric folding canvas roof.Power options for the A5 Cabriolet will remain the same as the Coupe offerings minus the 2.0 TDI.

Audi has lifted the covers on the all-new A5 and S5 Cabriolet models (way) ahead of their worldwide debut at the Geneva Motorshow in March 2009. Scheduled to go on sale in Europe in Spring 2009 with the U.S. following in Fall of the same year, the A5/S5 Cabriolets will replace the long-lived, open-top variant of the A4.
